Pacific Drilling founding team members Bob MacChesney, Michelle Hobbs to retire March 2015


LUXEMBOURG (February 9, 2015) — Pacific Drilling S.A. (NYSE: PACD) today announced that company founding team members Bob MacChesney, SVP key accounts, and Michelle Hobbs, VP human resources, will be retiring at the end of March.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank Bob and Michelle for their significant contributions to Pacific Drilling,” said CEO Chris Beckett. “They were both part of the company’s original founding team, having joined us in late summer of 2008 as employees No. 3 and No. 4. Their dedication and commitment to Pacific Drilling have been integral to our tremendous achievement as a company. While I am sorry to see them leave, I respect both their decisions to retire in order to spend more time with their families and pursue personal interests.”

MacChesney most recently acted as SVP key accounts after previously serving as chief operating officer and chief marketing officer during the start-up phase of the company.

Hobbs has served as vice president of human resources since she joined Pacific Drilling in 2008.
